Incense!

Coming this week...Luxury Incense! Yay!

I have been working on incense for almost a year now, trying to develop the richest incense possible. Score! I did it :D

I hand roll all of my incense fresh in small batches and soak for a minimum of 48 hours for through and even saturation. Always dried naturally by the sun, never ever force dried! This results in a soft incense that almost always remains moist, giving it a very slow, low smoke burn.

What scents will be available you ask?

Peaceful Bliss Spiritual nag champa with sandalwood, patchouli, warm spices sweetened with frankincense. Very calming and a perfect meditation scent.

Dragon's Blood Woody and earthy scent, with notes of amber, vanilla, sandalwood, light tones of powdery musks and hints of asian florals to bring out subtle spice undertone.

Violet Patchouli Violet and patchouli in a mystical fragrance base of fruits, oriental florals, neroli, amber and musks.

Champa Oriental Champa flower with Asian flair, warm spices, sandalwood.

Sensual Sandalwood Calming woody and peppery notes with added hints of Musk, Amber, Patchouli, & Cinnamon.

Lemons & Lavender A sunny fresh blend of tangy lemon citrus and sweet lavender flowers.

Black Canyon A deep musk with light ozone notes and a touch of sandalwood and patchouli.

Made with all natural Essential Oils and Non-Phthalate Fragrance Oils. The utmost care is taken when hand blending my fragrances.

*whew* What a crazy few past months! Hemp Bath was featured in the Etsy Finds Newsletter! A giant thanks to Etsy for including my Hemp Satin Solid Perfume. ♥

Hemp Bath hit over 240 sales this month and I am so thrilled. The support my fellow Crafters have given me is just overwhelming. I am very excited to announce many planned items to debut in 2010. With customer feedback, I have also selected a collection of more complex fragrances to add to my ever growing scent line. In these next eight weeks I plan to release:

★ Bay Rum
★ Bamboo Teak
★ Cherry Almond
★ Orange Clove
★ Tobacco Caramel

Yummy sounding, huh? More and more updates on product development in weeks to come! ♥

I hope everyone is having a great Holiday season and staying warm! Out here, in Iowa, we were pounded with a blizzard lasting over 24 hours! I have to admit though, it was kind of nice having everything shut down, and taking a break from this years Holiday rush. My husband couldn't make it to work and school was cancelled for the kids. We staid bundled and drank lots of hot chocolate. Like I said, a much needed break. ♥

While browsing for an epic and awesome "Handmade ♥ Hemp" find, I came across one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Now, I have seen the idea of "seeds in paper" in motion before, but never done this wonderfully. These tags are handmade using recycled paper and wildflower seeds and come with attached planting instructions. So what about the hemp? They are threaded with hemp twine! This is probably one of the most perfect items I have ever found. And priced very nice, $7.50 for a set of 10. Check them out here ♥♥♥

Thought I would take some time and post a more personal blog this fine Saturday morning. So grab your coffee, tea, or kool aid and get cozy. ♥

Hemp Bath went live on Etsy July 23, 2009. That is a little over a month ago. In the last month I have met some of the nicest, most creative people. Between Twitter (I just put up my awesome Halloween avatar, early I now, but I was excited), the Etsy chat rooms, forums and through browsing blogs I am constantly stunned by not only the knowledge of fellows crafters and handmade fanatics, but by the power.

It is a very happy feeling knowing that I can connect with people who have the same passions as I do. A lot of us are going through hard times with the economy, blah blah, we all know it sucks. However, the handmade community still manages to band together, giving each other support and encouragement to keep creating.

I wanted to give a huge shout out to dkjewels for the awesome blog post she wrote up about Hemp Bath! Totally took me by surprise and made my day! You can check it out here. Be sure to leave some comment love! It is my very first feature and a total sneak attack. ♥
